Dr. Barnes is a Family Physician and treats infants through Geriatric patients. Our practice offers various alternative treatments as well as traditional western medicine. We combine the best of both worlds. This approach allows the patient to work with the doctor in order to achieve healing. We specialize in treating the entire person, mind, body and spirit.

Our offices are open from 8:30AM until 5:00PM, Monday through Friday. Most insurance plans are accepted.


Company Profile
Carol Barnes, MD, is the founder of F&HH. She is a western trained physician practicing medicine since 1987. During the last 4-5 years she has branched out into alternative treatments such as Homeopathy, Nutrition, and Acupuncture. "There are times when western medicine is not enough, and that's when we look toward alternative treatments for pain relief, and often healing."

Dr. Carol, as she is known to her patients, is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Medical Acupuncturists. She attended and graduated from the Karolinska Medical Institute in Stockholm Sweden.

After 15 years of traditional medical practice, Dr. Carol realized that the medical system had shortfalls and took a brief hiatus. She had a vision of how the patient should be cared for. With her family's encouragement, Dr. Carol returned to medicine, realizing her vision of patient care, she founded the Family & Holistic Health Center in San Clemente, CA.

Specializing in the broad range of Family practice, Dr. Carol realizes that there are times when western medicine falls short, and alternative treatments are necessary.
